The Island Highland Gathering is celebrating its tenth anniversary this summer.

This hugely popular event will take place on Sunday 18th July 2021 at an all new venue, The Isle of Wight Steam Railway in Havenstreet.

This popular local event draws large crowds from all over the Island to enjoy a spectacle of Highland and themed entertainment to raise money for local charities. This year the chosen charity is Aspire, based in Ryde.

Enjoy a feast of fun-filled activities and attractions at this wonderful day out.

The opening ceremony will see the massed pipes and drum bands and dancers march in procession into the main arena to the welcome of the Chieftain for the day.

Watch an array of pipe and marching bands alongside an assortment of Irish and Scottish Dancers as well as Highland Games, wonderful assortment of Island craft and food stalls, Scottish food, bar and BBQ.

Or why not bring a picnic and blanket and lap up the sights and sounds!

Enjoy an address to the haggis, while Dr Cooney’s band Wight Hot Pipes are playing alongside the likes of Bloodstone Border Morris.

There will be classic cars and stalls galore plus a bouncy castle, whisky tasting and raffles during a day filled with great family entertainment.
