Sadly thousands of Island children won’t be getting much of a Christmas this year.
But you can help change all that…
Today’s deal is Raffle Tickets to help raise money & buy toys for the Official IOW Christmas Toy Appeal with IW Radio, for only £1.00 each
An unexpected gift can make a huge difference to the lives of less-fortunate kids, including young carers, children in hospital over the Christmas period, looked-after children, sick youngsters, bereaved children or those challenged by poverty and housing problems.
Ten-year-old Tao Carson decided he wanted to do his bit and raise enough money to buy 200 gifts for Island children, so he approached his Mum who runs The Price Is Wight.
Tao said: “Sadly, so many girls and boys on our Island don’t get any gifts at Christmas. This made me very sad. I want to make a difference, so I set myself a goal to raise enough money to buy 200 people a nice gift and make their Christmas special. I have been doing chores at home to collect some money, and I have been selling old clothes that I don’t need and my old toys that I no longer use.”
Tao also wrote a lovely letter to many of the wonderful businesses TPIW work with and asked if they would be kind enough to donate a small gift or voucher which could be raffled off to raise money for the Official Christmas Toy Appeal, in conjunction with Isle of Wight Radio.
He was over the moon when so many replied to say they would be delighted to pledge their support.
A host of big-hearted Island businesses have donated an array of wonderful raffle prizes. Up for grabs are:
You can buy as many raffle tickets as you want – simply go to the dropdown menu and choose how many you would like.
