Help play a fun yet vital role in helping our countryside and wildlife flourish.
Naturezones is a Wildlife Education Centre and 10-acre Nature Reserve at Blackwater – just off the Newport / Cowes / Sandown cycle track.
You are being offered the opportunity to learn how to grow a wildflower meadow or even a wildflower patch at the bottom of your garden. Or even at the top of your garden so you can watch those precious pollinators buzzing around collecting pollen and nectar as they go.
These Meadow Makers Workshops run on Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th July 2019
Your day will begin with a guided tour around the meadows at Naturezones explaining the various ways to develop your patch
After lunch there will be a power point presentation and an opportunity to discuss your own particular project
The day will end with a Naturezones special Cream Tea. A delicious selection of eats and treats at on a sunny day is hard to beat.
Both days will be hosted by former award-winning Island chef and professional artist Angela Hewitt.
Angela has spent the past 13 years developing Naturezones wildlife field study centre and creating wildflower meadows. She now lectures at the International RSPB Bird Fair on wildflower meadow development.
PLEASE NOTE: Naturezones catering facilities are extremely limited. Therefore they are unable to cater for egg free, dairy free & nut free diets. They do offer a vegetarian choice & gluten free cake
Rugs are provided for those who wish to sit and eat in the woodland area or you can choose to enjoy at the picnic tables in the barn.
