Prime your giggle muscles…The Comedy Social is back at Northwood House on Friday 18th September 2026!

Following their previous sold-out gatherings, the team are making a welcome return.

So grab some friends and get ready for the next instalment.

And what a line up they have for you!

Headliner for the evening is Erich McElroy, a Seattle-born, London-residing comedian, known for his hilarious & insightful takes on life in the UK right now. Erich has appeared on Scotland’s foremost BBC radio topical show “Breaking the News” as well as providing humorous political commentary on places such as the BBC, Sky, Newsnight & on his own podcast American Exchange

Also appearing is upcoming talent Ryan Murphy. His performance offers a diverse array of entertainment, featuring a blend of true & absurd anecdotes, witty one-liners, insightful observations & engaging crowd interactions

Another lined up is Mary Bourke, an outspoken, Irish comedian described by GQ magazine as one of the “best female comics in the country”. Born in Dublin during a cross-fire hurricane, she now lives in leafy Buckinghamshire with a large collection of Betty Page memorabilia. Self-styled ‘housewife comedian’ Mary Bourke may look sweet in her flowery tea-dress, but her humour pulls no punches

And finally, with “charisma to burn & an eye for sharp punchlines”, Andrew White is an in-demand comedian, writer & radio host. His last hit show, Young, Gay & Third Thing, travelled all over the UK picking up critical acclaim, sell out performances & was award-nominated for Best Show at Leicester Comedy Festival 2025. Andrew has also supported Catherine Bohart, Kiri Pritchard-McLean & Jason Manford on their tours

Doors open from 7.00pm – with the comedy scheduled to start at 8.00pm.

All seating is unreserved and arranged in various configurations of sofas/tables and theatre style seating. These are available on a first come first served basis. We recommend groups of three or more people arrive early to get seats together as we cannot guarantee seats together for groups or parties.

The comedy social is strictly for 18 year olds and over only due to the possible adult-themed content of the comedy. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone without valid ID/proof of age whom the staff management deem to appear to be underage.

As with all adult comedy you should expect to hear some rude and offensive language and listen to content with strong adult and controversial themes. If you are likely to be offended by such content then you should not book, as no refunds can be given.

The Comedy Social has a strict policy of no heckling whilst the comedians are performing their routine. This is disruptive to audience members surrounding you and also to the comedians on stage. Remember, people have paid to listen to the acts, not to you! Anybody repeatedly talking loudly/heckling/shouting out/acting in a disrespectful manner will be asked to leave immediately without a refund…you have been warned.
